Leverrier, the Endless Foam
As “The Endless Foam”, Leverrier is the eleventh planet from Sol and is the further gas giant from the center of the system. As the densest gas giant, Leverrier’s surface is nearly tangible, moving as a liquid with large segments of rock and ice that float. Acting as islands these segments host amphibious wildlife while the planet itself holds flora and fauna capable of moving freely and sustaining themselves within the gasses. Similar to Astraea, pockets of space exist beneath Leverrier’s surface, but tend to be much smaller and unstable.

An Imperfect Sphere
The gasses that compose Leverrier are made unstable by the Essence that circulates within the planet. Large strands of the planet’s mass escape its gravitation pull as waves, dragging along the surface and sometimes escaping before being pulled back down. Smaller strands can fully break off and become electric storms. Similar storms appear around the vacuums within the planet and throughout its layers.
The Leverrieri
The Leverrieri are a crustaceous species whose height varies between three feet and ten feet. All Leverrieri have small eyes, four pairs of legs, and one larger set of pincers as well as exoskeletons fitted to resist the weather within and around Leverrier. Leverrieri are amphibious but typically prefer vacuums and islands to settle on before moving along as they’re a nomadic species.
An Alliance on Rocky Shores
Leverrier’s primary contribution towards the Republic and its worlds comes from the trade facilitated by traveling Leverrieri. Leverrieri islands serve as ports for trade between worlds outside of the Sol System. Minor fishing industries exist beneath Leverrier’s surface, though piracy plagues both industries even within the Leverrieri race.
